I recently came across a great article on Nadaje broadcasting (http://magazine.nadaje.com/en/7-reasons-why-social-media-live-streaming-is-not-the-answer/) that basically summarize the initial goal of firekast.
Indeed, in our early days, we set ourselves the objective to position firekast as a tool to take over control over our content. The contents we currently give away for free on social media.
firekast was by then a powerful platform that empowered live streaming in an app built for start-ups and developers. The platform was working well and one could use it to build their own periscope in a matter of days (for the live streaming part of course) but we were missing something.
We figured out that although it was critical to control our content and engage our users in your own digital channels, social networks and the audience they gather are not less critical!
We got back to work and are very proud to release our new feature ReStream. ReStream is an API that allows firekast users to push their live streams to a Facebook page and Youtube channel simultaneously. It allows you to grab users attention on all your social channels, bring them back to your own website and/or app and to keep them engage with the great content you put together in your own channels.
And as a live test is worth a thousand words, you guys can give it a try using our app Slive by firekast (stands for Social Live) now available on the appStore. Just follow the link : https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/slive/id1294751379?l=en&mt=8
